Gillingham AA 6th Summer Shield. Lodden Lakes. (20 pegs) 20/09/2020

The final round of the summer series was fished on a blustery and autumnal Lodden Lakes but despite this the venue fished very well for the anglers competing. Winner on the day was Joe Shepherd who drew peg 31 and caught a couple of Bream on the pole, before adding more on the method feeder and white wafter plus 2 Carp, to weigh 37-06.

Runner Up was Richard Fripp, who drew peg 17 and caught Bream and skimmers on the pole and feeder to weigh 32-12.

3rd: Ryan Knight- 24-04

4th: Jack Stamp- 22-12

5th: Mark Harper- 22-00

6th: Daimon Townsend

6th: Adie West- 21-04


Gillingham AA 2nd summer outing at Lodden Lakes. (28 pegs) 12th July 2020

The second summer shield was fished on a hot Lodden Lakes which had been giving some good bags in the last week.

Winner on the day was Richard Fripp who fished the pole and feeder to catch a 14-6 Carp and 20lb of Bream to weigh 34-11 off peg 10.

Runner Up was Ryan Kiernan who drew peg 32 and caught Bream and skimmers on the pole and worms and maggots over groundbait to weigh 28-2.

3rd: Dave Wylde- 28-2

4th: Mark Harper- 26-00

5th: Joe Sheppherd- 21-8

6th: Jack Stamp- 21-6.


Gillingham AA Evening Open at Lodden (21 pegs) 24.06 .20

21 Anglers fished and Bream and Skimmers showed all over the lake. Most fish coming on the pole over groundbait.

Gillingham AA summer pairs. (12 pairs) Lodden and 2 Counties. 28/06/2020

The club summer pairs was fished on Sunday at Lodden Lakes and '2 Counties lake' and weights were respectable on both venues.

Winner of Lodden with an impressive 54-6 was Pete Leach. Pete drew peg 10 and caught a few Bream early on worms and corn at 11 metres, before going down the edge to catch many more in the last couple of hours on meat and pellets.

Runner up was Mark Harper who drew peg 15 and caught skimmers and Bream on the pole and worms and the feeder to weigh 31-4.

3rd: Ryan Knight- 29-00.

'2 Counties' was won by Jack Stamp with 114-2 of Carp on the method feeder and maggots.

Rich Fripp came an agonizing 3 ozs short to pick up second, again fishing the method, to weigh 113-15.

3rd: Ben Dukes- 111-4.

This means that Rob Manns and Mark Harper won the pairs with 6 points from a tie for second with Jack Stamp and Dave Wylde, and Pete Leach and Dave Anders both with 8 points.


Gillingham AA 1st summer series on Todber Manor's Whitepost Lakes. (24 pegs) 14/06/2020

The first Gillingham summer series was run like clockwork with a full range of social distancing measures in place.

The top lake was the place to draw with Dave Wylde making no mistakes when he drew peg 1. Dave fished at 11 metres with meat and pellet, then later down the edge with groundbait and maggots to catch Carp to 6lb and weigh 89-12

Runner Up was Jack Stamp from peg 2, who fished the straight lead and pellet and paste on the pole to weigh 80-12.

Best weight on the bottom lake was Mark Harpers 61-2 from peg 16, who caught a few on the method before going down the edge and catching 9 more on maggots.3rd: Joe Sheppherd- 68-15

4th: Mark Harper- 61-2

5th: Ryan Knight- 55-14

6th: Simon Hebditch- 51-9.
