STOUR PROVOST/RECTORY STRAIGHT

Brief description of fishery:

This is without doubt our best looking stretch of river, which includes the infamous Lucky Dip and the Steps.

This section starts from the bottom of Highbridge stretch (Peg 18). and some good bags of Chub and big Perch can be had. Continuing downstream Peg 8 ‘Lucky Dip’ can produce some big bags of Roach and Bream  Rectory Straight usually holds lots of small roach and Dace. The Steps is Peg 1.

The mill pool and the  downstream pegs can all hold Chub, big Roach as well as some big Carp.

Parking & Access

Parking for this whole section is at the bottom of Mill Lane in Stour Provost. The parking is on the last turning on the left hand side using the hard standing at the back of the new garages.

Please park with consideration for others.
Access to the river is through the small gate at the end of the lane, following the footpath around the mill house garden and our the bridge.
