ECCLIFFE (Downstream of Mill Pool)
Brief description of fishery:
This stretch of the river is not match fished as it has become overgrown and it has limited parking, and therefore a long walk is needed for the lower swims. The downstream boundary for this section (left hand bank looking downstream) is the paddock opposite Burghey Trout Pools.. Some swim clearing has started on the stretch between duck island and the concrete bridge.
This is a long stretch of river with varying depths, bends and features The two swims above the concrete bridge are excellent for Roach,Dace and occasional Chub and Grayling. The swims below the concrete bridge hold lots of Roach, Dace, Chub with the occasional big Perch and Grayling. Fishing with a stick float and maggot works well throughout this stretch of river
