This stretch has some of the deepest water on the clubs stretches of the upper Stour. The stretch has little flow making it ideal for fishing the pole or fishing the tip,but stick float approaches do work.

This section can throw up some very good bags of, but fish but it can also be difficult due to the lack of flow and the waters depth.

A groundbaiting approach either using the pole or feeder can work on the lower peg numbers. The closer you get to the mill and the loop, the river gets shallower,making it more suited to fishing the stick float.

The pegs running into Highbridge loop, the loop itself and Highbridge Mill pool can provide some of the best fishing on the river on the right day.
